Lyra wins the Leap Motion Competition 2.0 (2016)
We won the 2016 Leap Motion Competition!
When we first heard about the competition (a.k.a 3D Jam 2.0) by Leap Motion, the company behind the novel camera-based hand tracking system, we thought our idea for a music sequencer in VR was a perfect fit.
Using Leap Motion’s controller, users could use their bare hands to control digital objects in virtual reality. What is just as human as using our hands? Creating music of course!
With Lyra, our VR music sequencer, musicians of all levels and backgrounds can use their hands freely to create little musical objects.
Link these objects together to form a sequence of sounds and voilà—you get music!
You can download Lyra here: https://developer.leapmotion.com/gallery/lyra-vr but make sure you have an Oculus Rift (Dk2 or newer) and a Leap Motion Controller.
Thank you Leap Motion for supporting VR developers like us, and thank you to those who voted!
